How do I access my SSND CP e-mail account?
To access your SSND CP e-mail account, you will need to know your email address. In most cases, your user name is your first initial and last name @ssndcp.org. If you are not sure what your email address is, please contact our IT Helpdesk Support line at 1-800-373-7521.
If you have your login information, open your browser (Edge/Chrome/Firefox/Internet Explorer) and type https://outlook.com/owa/ssndcp.org in your URL field (found at the top of your screen in your browser).
I have been locked out my SSND CP e-mail account. What do I do to regain access?
If you have tried multiple times to access your SSND CP e-mail account by going to https://outlook.com/owa/ssndcp.org and have not been successful in logging-in, please contact the IT Helpdesk support line by calling 1-800-373-7521. We will assist you in resetting your password and regaining access to your account.

Should I be installing my Windows Updates?
Yes. In most cases, your computer/laptop will inform you when new updates are ready to install. When that occurs, follow the prompts which usually request a reboot of the computer after updates have been downloaded and installed. If you have questions about your Windows updates or need additional assistance verifying that you are installing them, contact us directly at 1-800-373-7521 or helpdesk@ssndcp.org.
I think my computer might have a virus, what should I do?
Anytime you think your computer has been compromised in any way, we recommend that you call us immediately 1-800-373-7521. There are various ways we can verify if your computer has been compromised or has a virus and can work with you on repairing it.
What should I do if I receive a suspicious call from someone in “Tech Support”?
Any SSND CP IT staff that calls you will identify themselves as such and will generally let you know what campus they are calling from. We never ask for any credit card information or any kind of payment for receiving tech support. We are normally responding or following-up to a request made by the community or leadership. To report any suspicious tech support calls, contact us at 1-800-373-7521 or helpdesk@ssndcp.org.

Windows 11 - we recommend waiting to upgrade
Microsoft released their latest operating system, Windows 11.As it is not feature-complete yet nor is it available for every Windows device (it requires a relatively new computer) we ask you to wait if you are prompted to upgrade. Once we feel our environment and devices are ready, we will provide further information. In the meantime, Microsoft will continue to support Windows 10 until late 2025.
How do I know what version of Windows my computer is running??
A quick way to learn the Windows version, is by going to your Start button ( ) and click on “Run”. When the Run window appears, type winver and press enter. Another window will appear letting you know what version of Windows you have. Click “Ok” to close window. If you are running an earlier version of Windows, such as XP or 7, please contact us right away so we can upgrade the computer.

How do I fill out a document (PDF or Word) that was sent to me and I need to send back?
You may receive an Adobe PDF or Word document that needs to be filled out (for travel, registration, etc.) and then returned via e-mail. The key to working with the documents is SAVING them locally on your machine after you have filled out the information. After saving the document locally, you re-attach it to your response and e-mail back to appropriate recipient. If your computer is running slow, we recommend that you contact us directly at 1-800-373-7521 or helpdesk@ssndcp.org. We can then make an appointment with you to help identify what the issue is. We do not recommend that you take your computer to a repair store since most of our equipment is under warranty and can be replaced without additional costs.
