Mother Caroline Society
The Mother Caroline Society is our major giving society, named after the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) North American Foundress, Mother Caroline Friess. This society is an exclusive community of donors who make a one-time gift of $5,000* or more to SSND. This is a special place for donors to belong, offering more personal connections with our sisters, and a way to more intimately join them in mission.
* Begining January 1, 2024
A major gift helps the SSND transform the world through education. In addition, your gift to us will help support the retirement needs and active ministries of the sisters who minister in prisons, combat racism, improve poverty in local communities, and tutor immigrants and refugees. Sisters also serve in hospitals caring for the sick and elderly, in communities guiding those in need of spiritual direction and in other countries helping communities gain access to clean water.

Hans Wiemann
Hans Wiemann’s connection with the School Sisters of Notre Dame started in Germany, where he saw the care his mother received from sisters. He was later connected to SSND through his dentist.
