Blessed Theresa Appeal 2024 - Milwaukee

We invite you to celebrate the Feast Day of Blessed Theresa of Jesus Gerhardinger on May 9th, as we recognize that the mission of Jesus guides our sisters to serve in unique and creative ways throughout their entire lives.

For example, the love and compassion the sisters share with the single mothers, their children, and the children at the onsite daycare and learning center at Trinity Woods makes a lasting impact. Sister Mary Alyce Lach has collected 2,000 books and organized a group of 27 sisters and residents who volunteer to read to the children. She reminds us of the importance of the program, since it “introduces young children to stories and the opportunity to interact with caring adults, our sisters.”

Living at Trinity Woods these past two years has opened the doors for sisters to continue helping the young children, young women, and adults they encounter daily.

Lay residents have also told us the reason they moved into Trinity Woods was to be surrounded by the presence of the sisters. Their social companionship and spiritual guidance often lead to comfort, mentorship, and lasting friendships for these residents.

All of us have been directly touched by the prayers, presence and ministries of the sisters.

We come to you to ask for financial support. The need is significant for the sisters in their retirement as they continue to mentor others and provide spiritual guidance just as our foundress Blessed Theresa did throughout her life.
