Thanks to our 2024 Women’s Leadership Luncheon sponsors and attendees

After months of planning and excitement, each of the long-awaited Women’s Leadership Luncheon events have now celebrated their successful completion. Though the events are over, the meaningful effect of shared conversations and connections remains.

Being able to offer events such as the Women’s Leadership Luncheon to our attendees for free is only possible due to the committed support of the individuals, organizations and businesses who recognize and celebrate the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) and women leaders. Sincere gratitude and heartfelt thanks to our Presenting Sponsor, Ann Kampeter, Venue Sponsor, River City Casino & Hotel, and our $5,000 Sponsors; Bayer, Catholic Housing Initiative, Drury Hotels, Jim Butler Automotive Group, Mandel Group, Mercy, Midwest BankCentre, Mary Ellen Murphy, and Marianne and Roger Staubach. The impact of these luncheons extends far beyond a single day, and we are proud to recognize everyone who helped make each of these events a highlight on our spring calendar.

Good Counsel Learning Center settles into its new home

In April, Good Counsel Learning Center will mark six months at their new downtown Mankato, Minnesota location after moving from their long-time address at Our Lady of Good Counsel last fall. While the address may have changed, the mission of providing encouraging and supportive one-on-one tutoring to children and adults is going strong.

Sisters Susan Bunde and Margaret Ann Murawski participate in Catholic Schools Week Celebrations

Catholic Schools Week provides opportunity for celebration and connection

Sisters Susan Bunde and Margaret Ann Murawski enjoyed a full circle celebration of this year’s Catholic Schools Week. First by revisiting their role as educators as they connected with eager students, and second as recognized guests at a Mass led by Bishop William Callahan. While the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) have a 150-year presence in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Sisters Susan and Margaret Ann are the only two who are still in the area. From a lively Q&A session to the sharing of blessings during their visit with elementary students, the sisters provided important insight on what it means to live a religious life.

Whether a one-time donation or development of an ongoing, sustained plan, resources are available to explore options, answer questions and guide decisions.
