The gift of Alleluia Baskets |
Sister Rose Mercurio started volunteering for the Alleluia Basket program in March 2020, after retiring from active ministry. Alleluia Baskets was started by Karen Mesler, an eighth grade Parish School of Religion (PSR) teacher, at All Saints in St. Peters, Missouri, in 2004. Sister Rose shared, “As we are shopping for items, sorting them, packing them away and then starting to fill the baskets, I think of the children who will be receiving them and the joy it will bring to their hearts. I know that they are children who would otherwise not receive anything for Easter.” Learn More »

The thread weaving through my life |
The School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) have been living at Trinity Woods, an intergenerational living facility on the Mount Mary University (MMU) campus in Milwaukee for almost five months. Sisters, lay people and student mothers with their children are learning to live together. Sister Mary Jacqueline Buckley, affectionately known as Sister Jackie, shared a reflection on how MMU has been an important thread weaving throughout her life. Read More »
