Bridget McDermott Flood is the executive director of the Incarnate Word Foundation in St. Louis. Bridget is a 1974 graduate of Notre Dame High School. At her work at Incarnate Word, Bridget provides grant funding and fosters collaboration to meet the needs of women and children living in poverty. Bridget has served on several local boards, including St. Elizabeth Academy, the Carondelet Housing Corporation and the Women’s Foundation of Greater St. Louis. Bridget has also been a member of the White House Task Force to Reform the Office of Faith- and Community-Based Partnerships. In addition to her work at the Incarnate Word Foundation, Bridget is a working potter and is the founder of Carondelet Pottery Studio. She is currently writing a book about the spirituality of the Sisters of the Incarnate Word. Bridget and her husband, Michael, have two daughters, both of whom attended Notre Dame High School.
