Living Legacy

After Blessed Theresa Gerhardinger founded the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1833, friends, private donors and benefactors generously offered financial assistance for her mission. Since then, generations of faithful and generous donors have helped to provide a legacy to carry on the mission.

Why Give to School Sisters of Notre Dame?

School Sisters of Notre Dame Central Pacific Province is part of an international community of women religious whose mission is to proclaim the Good News, directing their entire lives toward that oneness for which Jesus Christ was sent. The sisters live and minister in 57 dioceses, 24 states, the U.S. territory of Guam and eight countries. They continue the sacred work of their foundress, Blessed Theresa of Jesus Gerhardinger, to transform the world through education, giving special emphasis to women, young people and those who are poor.
