Medicare/health insurance scams – In this scam, someone may pose as a Medicare or insurance representative claiming they are updating information, issuing new cards, or stating you have an overdue bill and require you to confirm your account number and other personal information. It is important to remember that Medicare and Insurance companies will never call, email, or visit you to ask for personal information, they will already have that info and do not need to collect it from you.
